Studio Tara is the brainchild of Bharathi Raviprakash
The twinkle in Bharathi’s eyes, matches the twinkle of her diamonds. Her passion for designing and her innate creativity led her to open “Studio Tara”. Bharathi’s designs take a cue from the shape, size and form of the gemstone. She specializes in designing a piece of jewellery “around” the gemstone rather than the other way round. With her originality and innovative thinking, she has created exquisite one-of-a-kind pieces of wearable art.
Bharathi is an accredited jewellery professional, formally trained at the Gemmological Institute of America, she graduated in diamonds, CAD/ CAM and jewellery design. Bharathi’s expertise lies in her knowledge of metals and their properties, origin of stones and their physical / chemical properties, identification, treatments, substitutes and simulants used.

Bharathi started Studio Tara in 2002, in Chennai. It has since, adorned discerning connoisseurs of jewellery not only in Chennai, but also in Chicago, Singapore, London, Washington, New York and Tokyo. Closer to home, she has held exhibitions in Bangalore and Hyderabad. Boasting of a global clientele, her designs and jewellery are well appreciated by the discerning.
